The Loretto Chapel was built around 1710 on the north side of the church. It is another copy of the Casa Santa in Loretto and is one of the very popular (associated with the lively Marian cult) shrines of the 17th and 18th centuries. The chapel is built on the plan of an elongated rectangle, has one simple interior, covered with a barrel vault, and otherwise has no ornamentation or decoration inside (only three niches in the eastern wall). All the wealth of architectural and sculptural decoration has been concentrated on the exterior. The northern façade has three niches, and the eastern and western façades have one niche each. The recesses contain statues of the four evangelists and, on the central axis of the north façade, a figure of King David playing the harp. In addition, the outer walls are decorated with large rectangular reliefs with figural scenes depicting the most important moments in the life of NP Mary: Annunciation, Nativity, Adoration of the Three Kings and Assumption. The architect of the Loretto Chapel is unknown. After the secularisation of the abbey, the chapel was used as a church sacristy.
