Interesting places

The only bird watching shelter in the western part of the Barycz Valley is located in the south-western corner of the Niezgoda pond complex.

It has survived in a similar shape for several centuries, without fundamentally changing. It was only in the second half of the 20th century that it was divided into two basins, of which the pond closer to the village is numbered I.
The Niezgoda complex is not part of the "Stawy Milickie" (Milice Ponds) nature reserve, but its wildlife is also very rich and worth admiring. For this purpose, birdwatching huts have been built at the south-west corner of the pond. In addition, the nature trail "Three Ponds" runs around the entire complex.

Nature:
Most of the typical inhabitants of the Barycz Ponds are found in Niezgoda. Numerous breeding populations of grebes and great crested grebes (in both cases - more than 15 pairs) are found here. Among the nesting birds, the marsh harrier, bittern and crane are among the more valuable. In some seasons, the pond is left without water, in which case little ringed plovers breed on its exposed bottom. The islands, overgrown with deciduous trees, are inhabited by the rare green woodpecker.
During the migration period, large concentrations of ducks have been observed here - dabbling ducks, common pochards, plovers and crakes. In late autumn and winter (except during periods of ice on the water surface), flocks of goldeneye, common goldeneye and whitethroat have also been recorded here, as well as individual representatives of ducks from the far north (red-breasted duck, long-tailed duck, common scoter). All three species of swans (mute, whooper and black-breasted) stop regularly and in considerable numbers. Other species of shelduck birds, appearing in the Barycz Valley irregularly, have also been observed here; noteworthy among them are the Egyptian goose, the ohar and the helminth.
The trees on the islands are a great resting place for numerous cormorants. White egrets and black storks congregate in the shallow water on the pond. Flocks of waders - ruffed warblers, terns, teals, teals and solitary warblers - can be found here. Rarer species such as the stilt-winged warbler and the tufted duck can also be found among them. Foraging concentrations of over 30 white-tailed eagles have been observed here, as well as over 500 white-headed gulls.
