Bicycle routes

The recommended route is 30 km long and leads from and to Vineyard 55-100 in Rzepotowice near Trzebnica. Vineyard 55-100 is a Cyclist Friendly Place. You can come here, leave your car, go on the route and rest on your return. We also encourage you to travel by rail bus from Wrocław, in which case the route starts in Trzebnica and ends here.

Due to its location in the Trzebnickie Hills, the route is full of uphill and downhill sections and, due to the surface, is best suited to mountain bikes. It is worth combining the trip with a picnic in the Vineyard, which are organised on weekends in the summer.

The proposal for the tour was created as part of cooperation between Cyclist Friendly Places during the Cooperation Exchange organised by the Lower Silesian Cycling Land thanks to a grant received from the Ministry of Sport and Tourism.

Recommended places to visit along the route:

Rzepotowice | Vineyard 55-100 | Bicycle Friendly Place | An ecological vineyard, located on the slopes of the Trzebnickie Hills, the owners offer home-made red, white and rosé wines as well as fruit and preserves from, among others, marmalade, kamchatka berry, blueberry and rosehip. During the season, events are held to promote the wines combined with the possibility of a group tour of the vineyard with the host. In the near future, the winery will have a restaurant, currently under construction.

Marcinowo | Little Folk Museum at the Kowalskis' (tel. 71 387 01 09/ +48 606 467 843), open Monday - Friday 10.00 - 17.00, Saturday 12.00 - 17.00).

For 46 years, Marian Kowalski has collected and painstakingly restored some 3,000 exhibits, which are presented in several rooms called Chambers. They include antique furniture, clocks, trunks, folk costumes, prams, dolls, irons, paraffin lamps, weapons, military machines, fire-fighting equipment, household appliances and more. "Uncle" Marian knows the stories of the objects housed here and enjoys telling their history over a slice of country bread with country lard.

Trzebnica | One of the most beautiful towns in the region. The town's rich history begins as early as the 12th century. The settlement was established at the crossroads of transport routes, from Wrocław via Żmigród to Poznań and via Milicz to Kalisz and Gniezno. In 1202. Henry the Bearded founded a church and monastery here, into which the Cistercian nuns who came from Bamberg moved in 1203. The Trzebnica Abbey was the first female Cistercian monastery on Polish soil. Since the 14th century, Trzebnica has been the centre of the cult of St. Hedwig of Silesia. Attractions of Trzebnica: the buildings of the place, the basilica, the beech forest with the forest church and the Stations of the Cross, there are many orchards and vineyards around Trzebnica, which makes the area comparable to the Italian Tuscany.

Machnice | Ski slope in Machnice in winter and a viewing point in summer

Piotrkowiczki | Wiszniak Hill  is the highest hill in the commune of Wisznia Mała, which offers a beautiful view of the surroundings. From the side of Piotrkowiczki the ascent is definitely easier than from the side of Węgrzynów.

In clear skies, the panorama of Wrocław, Śleża and even the Sudetenland can be seen from the Wiszniak hill.
