The Ostoja of Polish Konik is a quiet spot in the forest by three ponds, practically in the centre of Milicz.

The refuge is located on the Milicz - Koruszka cycle trail. It is a forest glade with ponds, shelters and a place to rest amidst nature. It is here that one of the five Polish horse breeders in the reserve is located. The area is part of the Milicz fish farm. There is a covered shelter for rent and holiday cottages. A fish fryer is in operation during the season, the Barycz River flows past, and there is a canoeing lane here.

There is always a big event on Ostoja on the 1st weekend of October called "Catching on Ostoja". "Catching on the Ostoja", one of the key events in the Barycz Valley Carp Days celebrations.

The area is open to the public and it is possible to stop and relax. If you wish to have a picnic or barbecue, please contact the owner.
