The Wisznia Mała Commune is located in the eastern part of the Lower Silesian Voivodship. It covers the area between the Widawa River in the south and the Trzebnickie Hills in the north. It neighbours on the south the town of Wrocław, on the north-west the Oborniki Śląskie commune, on the north-east the Długołęka commune and on the north the Trzebnica commune. The commune of Wisznia Mała is located in the altitude area from 110 to 247 m above sea level and the highest hill is Wiszniak Hill in Piotrkowiczki, the destination of many cycling excursions. A rest area has been organised on the hill, with a shelter, a place for a bonfire and portable toilets. From Wiszniak there is always a beautiful view of the green surroundings and nearby Wrocław. When the sky is clear, you can even see Śnieżka.
The Wisznia Mała commune offers a variety of tourist trails running through the most beautiful corners of the commune, which are connected in a system of regional tourist routes.
In addition, there are several bicycle paths in the commune, creating a system of compact roads for bicycle communication. The main paths run through the outer villages of the municipality. The most important of these are the cycle routes starting outside the commune and running through villages such as Psary, Szymanów, Szewce, Ozorowice, Strzeszów, Piotrkowiczki. The second of the most important cycling routes is a path running through the villages of: Psary, Kryniczno, Malin, Pierwoszów, Wysoki Kościół, Machnice.
