Green Activity Zone (ZSA)

Here you can spend time actively in the fresh air, which is good for your health and fitness. You can also relax and integrate, as the Zone is equipped with, among other things, numerous steel benches, modular benches, bench-top or chess tables and a crane barbecue.

The ZSA grounds also include:

Playgrounds equipped among others: tube slide, rope pyramid, submarine, pendulum swing, stork's nest, buldering wall, games, street games, etc.
Outdoor gym equipped with: orbitrek, twister, jogger etc.
Pumptruck track.
On the ZSA premises there is an equipment rental shop where you can rent, among others: roller blades, scooters, bicycles for free.

Another innovation is the green solar charger, located in the central part of the Zone. It resembles a tree in appearance, instead of leaves there are solar panels mounted, which take in solar energy, convert it and accumulate it into free electricity. Thanks to this, people can charge their phones and tablets for free, inflate their bicycle tyres or listen to short information about the Zawonia Municipality.

Community Cultural Centre in Zawonia

As a result of a very successful investment, the historic character of the building has been preserved, but also a multifunctional and friendly space has been created, comprising, among others: an impressive entertainment and cinema hall with a stage, professional lighting, sound system and back-up facilities for more than 200 seats, a creative zone, i.e. workshop rooms, including an art room, a photography and film room, a toddler room and a multimedia room. In the renovated tower, the "Staircase Gallery" was created. The rooms host activities for all ages, including a coding academy, creations, nature workshops, ceramics, theatre workshops and taekwondo. The new GOK not only attracts residents with its colourful colours and wonderful concerts.

St. Hedwig Parish Church in Zawonia

Erected in 1683, a single-nave, brick church; it belongs to the Trzebnica deanery. It was built at the end of the 17th century, replacing a temple from the 16th century. The present decoration of the temple comes mostly from the 18th century. It is a brick, single-nave building with a tower located at the southern wall of the presbytery, with a base of 9x9 m and a height of 30 m, erected in the second half of the 17th century. The church was consecrated in 1696. The late Baroque interior features a main altar of unknown authorship with a painting of St. Hedwig. On the opposite side of the altar, there is a voice organ built by the Świdnica-based Schlag company. The presbytery houses an interesting statue of St. John of Nepomuk. The side altars and balustrades are in Neo-Gothic style and date from the end of the 19th century. The side walls feature paintings of the Stations of the Cross, which date from the first half of the 20th century.

Prababka Hill

A fabulous place situated at an elevation of 223 m above sea level, with a gradient of up to 16% and a climb of 350 m. It is located on the route between Radłów and Skotniki. It is a real challenge for both professionals and amateurs on two wheels.

Winnica Michlewicz | Cielętniki

The first winery in the Zawonia commune, it is located in the picturesque area of the Trzebnickie Hills, near Zawonia, where wine-making traditions date back to the 13th century. Kasia and Michał, the vineyard's owners, wishing to promote winemaking in Poland, have set their sights on cultivating noble Vitis Vinifera varieties, which have caught on brilliantly and are paying off with excellent wines. In their cultivation, they have such varieties as Pinot Noir, Zweigelt, Dornfelder, Chardonnay, Riesling and the only hybrid Souvignier Gris. The winery is prepared to welcome guests so you can visit and experience the wine climate in person. The winery can host private parties or participate in organised events, i.e. "Wine Climate Meeting. Kupalnocka." (June).

The winery is a CYCLISTS-FRIENDLY SITE.

Barrows (amphorae cemetery) in Niedary

The cemetery of the globular amphorae culture is older than the pyramids. Only three barrows have survived to this day: one in perfect condition, one partially levelled and the third, the largest one with its interior dug up. Archaeological excavations carried out there have revealed that inside there are stone structures hiding burials from 3,500 years ago. The bodies of the dead were deposited in the stone structures along with their belongings.

Grochowska Meadow, Grochowski Oak and wetlands

The Zawonia municipality is characterised by its high forest cover, as forests occupy almost 40% of its area. An ecological utility, the Grochowska Glade, has been created from part of the forest complex in Grochowa. There is a rich species composition of vegetation there, which makes it the most valuable community in the municipality. There is also a 5 km long nature trail called The Orchid. The theme of the aforementioned path is fauna and flora and natural peculiarities such as the pedunculate oak called the Grochowski Oak, which has been recognised as a natural monument. Immediately behind the Glade are wetlands which were created thanks to EU funding from the "Comprehensive lowland retention (...) project". Thanks to the small retention reservoirs , the soil and microclimatic conditions in the forests are improved, thus improving the condition of the stands. These reservoirs are also becoming a forest hit, attracting walkers, horse-riders, sportsmen and photographers, as they take advantage of their attractive location and are promoted as a tourist destination.

Forest Environment and Wildlife Research Centre of Wrocław University of Life Sciences in Złotówek

The Centre was established in 2001 on the basis of a Resolution of the Senate of the University of Agriculture in Wrocław. The base of the Centre is a hunting area of 7655 ha, including 5299 ha of forest reviers located in Oleśnica Forest District within the territory of the Regional Directorate of State Forests in Wrocław. The basic aim of the Centre is to conduct scientific research and didactic classes with students on the basis of properly conducted hunting and forest management, as well as to conduct a wide range of educational activities among children, youth, hunters and foresters.

The centre has 22 accommodation places in 2- and 3-bed rooms. In the hunting lodge you can spend not only your holidays, but also organise special celebrations, trainings, conferences, team-building events and individual and group hunting. Meals are prepared on request and served in a beautiful, stylish dining room with a fireplace.

Nearby, there are tourist attractions such as the Grochowska meadow ecological reserve and the ruins of a hunting lodge (called the hunting castle) where Herman Göring is said to have stayed. And in the middle of the forest complex, between the villages of Łuczyna, Ludgierzowice and Złotów, there are the highest hills in the area, called Mały Bieszczady (Little Bieszczady). The highest peak, Dębiak, is 237 metres above sea level.

The palace complex in Czachów

A beautiful and well-preserved palace complex (palace and park) from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The palace is beautifully visible from the road. Unfortunately, it is not possible to take a tour inside.

The wooden church in Złotów

The church of St. Joseph the Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary, formerly an Evangelical church, now a Roman Catholic filial church, wooden, from 1754. The church was entered in the register of monuments with the decision No. 1041 of 23.01.1964, as a monument of sacral architecture and described in the "Catalogue of Art Monuments in Poland". The church was erected on a foundation of fieldstone, in a log structure rarely found in Lower Silesia. The church is oriented, single-space, on the projection of an elongated rectangle with a presbytery closed trilaterally. From the west, the church is adjoined by a tower of pole-frame construction, planked. There are two porches on the south wall of the nave and a vestry on the north wall. The church is covered with a steep, gabled roof. Until 1945 the building was used as an Evangelical parish church, then it was taken over by the Catholic parish in Zawoja. The outer walls of the building, 17 cm thick, are made of wooden beams, hewn in the form of a tie beam (log structure) with log ends. The external walls are set on wooden foundations. The joists are joined by connecting posts. The walls of the tower are of post and beam construction, timber clad with 25 mm thick planks on the outside. The roof structure of the building consists of a timber truss. The structure can be described as purlin and collar beam (with two rafters) with ties in the form of ceiling beams under the attic. The connection of the individual elements at the nodes is carried out by tenons with wooden dowels. The main building of the church is covered with galvanised sheet steel. The tower is covered with copper sheeting.
